L-19/O-1 South Vietnam #SL14981 Graphics Set Scale:1/9O 1A Unit: VNAF Serial: FDD (SL14981) Maj. Boung used this VNAF O 1A to escape from South Vietnam with his wife and five children. Maj. Boung made the first landing by an O 1 on an aircraft carrier, landing on USS MIDWAY on 30 April 1975. This O 1A was returned to the US (after its landing on CV 41 USS Midway) and eventually put on display at the Naval Air Museum in Pensacola, Florida, the only VNAF aircraft to be preserved in the US.
