The aromatics are astonishing this year, steaks grilling in cast iron pans over an open flame, crushed black pepper, salty pork, layers of black raspberry, graphite, smoked brisket, and a briny green olive tapenade. As with the Stonessence, this wine is created selecting my favorite Syrah barrels

but also cured meats and mature cheese

Weight is balanced by the intense fruits and amazing freshness of a wine that has such concentration
