SOLD (1930) 5 Blue B Archie £195 MerrythoughtArchie has a blue chad button and many patches! The coating of his button is chipped. He has little hair on his face or tummy, beautifully endearing painted back eyes with most of the paint gone, darned paws and pads and replacement nose stitches over the originals. A beautiful bear in very good condition

His original pads were found underneath more recent red felt

I am pretty sure he is a Chad Valley bear perhaps from 1914

Rose is a 1950s Chiltern with a moulded nose

but she is still a sturdy girl and has retained almost all of her original features including her amber and black plastic safety eyes and vertically stitched nose

The legs are long and straight - stick like - with no boot or foot at the end

He is 16 inches

She is 11 1/2 inches tall

He has a working squeaker
