Louis Guntrum Niersteiner Pattenthal Riesling Auslese Trocken 1989 VINTAGE WINES 1953The 11th generation of the Guntrum family continue the work started in 1648, although Louis took over in 1909 and settled the estate in Niestein, on the banks of the Rhine. The 1989 was an excellent vintage across Germany. Typical blend, Riesling. 75cl bottle. Abv 12% Bottle condition, capsule good, Label good, wine level in neck.

However at tasting in March 2018 Jancis Robinson found it 'Impressive and still quite youthful'

and again with that charcoal grill/meaty note
