Rosewood & Tunbridgeware Folding Book Stand, c.1860 SOLDA rosewood and Tunbridgeware folding bookstand of good proportions, c. 1860. The fine fretwork gallery surrounds a tunbridgeware base, the underside lined with its original marbled paper. The back gallery lifts out and the side galleries fold down for transportation when travelling. Light signs of wear commensurate with age but generally in a very good condition indeed. All boards are three quarter bound in tan leather with marbled boards

The prints show some light rippling commensurate with age but are otherwise in a clean and bright condition

which used to be the centre of the old village

The table has a good thick top and the wood has a stunning patina throughout which really comes alive in natural light (please see photographs)
