Description

Éric Texier - Brézème 2023 (750ml) CortonaSyrah from Texier's younger, 35 to 40 year old vines, in the limestone rich, cooler Brzme vineyard area (on the eastern side of the Rhne). Whole clusters are fermented with native yeasts in concrete tank with a short 5 7 day maceration. Aged in concrete tanks for 15 months before bottling unfiltered.

This is approachable now but merits a bit more time in bottle

stone cherry and citrus aromas

While ideal as an aperitif

Lovely marshmellow-y texture to it

after which it is moved to tank for another six months when it is bottled by hand in the farm winery

framed by lightly chalky tannins and finishing very long and fresh
